Defect: Engine suddenly shuts down due to temperature fluctuations that interrupt signal from engine crank angle sensor. Stalling in traffic can cause a collision and serious injuries or death. Repairs involve reprogramming engine control module. Number of vehicles in recall: 201,000.

2004-2006 Nissan Maximas
Defect: Wiring to driver’s seat lumbar support is faulty, creating fire hazard.
Repair: Replace wiring. Number of vehicles in recall: 103,000.

2004 Nissan Titan
Defect: Transmission may slip out of park and vehicle may roll, causing
a serious crash. Repair involves replacing transmission shifter assembly.
Number of vehicles in recall: 5,700.
